SUNDAY 14 JULY
Excursion to the Curciusa Refuge

Meeting at 8.30 a.m. at the bar of the Hotel Brocco & Posta, mutual acquaintance with tour leader Mattia Libanore, Mountain Experience group. Departure at 9.00 a.m. From the center of the village, take the path that crosses the Bosc di Acubona and leads to the Pian Cales area, north of Alpe Pian Doss. The trail sign at an altitude of 1780m indicates the steep path that climbs towards the Bocchetta de Curciusa, an area closed to hikers during the winter to ensure the quiet of the numerous animals present. Who knows, maybe you might see some herds of chamois in the Bocchetta area, after which in half an hour you can reach the Refuge, inaugurated on August 9, 2020. After a rejuvenating lunch break at the Refuge, descent to the village where you can refresh yourself at the Hotel Brocco & Posta before saying goodbye.

Excursion to the Pass de Mucia

Meeting at 8.00 a.m. at the bar of the Hotel Brocco & Posta, mutual acquaintance with tour leader Giacomo Vassalli. Check of the equipment and departure towards Fonte Mineral and climb towards Pian Lumbrif in the direction of Passo del San Bernardino. Walk along Lake Moesola to reach the Alp de Mucia area, the Passit and then the path along Alp Vigon. Passage from Confin Basso then descent to the village and return to Hotel Brocco and Post Office for refreshment and farewell.

Hike around Pizz Arbeola

Meeting at 8.00 a.m. at the bar of the Hotel Brocco & Posta, mutual acquaintance with tour leader Giacomo Vassalli. Material control and departure of the Confin plant management. Continue south along the Bosco d’Isola, to enter the Passit region, a destination known for the beauty of its pastures and lakes. After crossing the region, among herds of tame Scottish cows, you pass to the rocky and steep terrain that leads to the top of the Pass della Cruseta, which steeply descends from the opposite side, to lead in a few minutes to the Bocca de Rogna. The descent to Alp d’Arbeola leads to the “closure” of the circular tour that will lead back to the village, through a mountain landscape of unique beauty. Return to the Hotel Brocco & Posta and leave.
